The social and legal-political context, together with the recycling industry’s strong determination, has contributed to overcome questions related to the utilization of plastic in different activity sectors, including the production of daily objects.

The investments made in I&D have had notorious results:

-  Everyday there are more plastic varieties capable of being recycled;

-  Recycled plastic applications are more diverse everyday and have more quality;

-  Nowadays it is already possible to use raw material of mixed recycled plastic for various ends;

-  It is possible to sort undesirable components from the plastic itself (such as the flame retarding agent) in order to use the remaining material for the production of other components (ex.: electronic equipments industry).
